Immunizations

Our Philosophy

Our mission at Caring Pediatric Partners is to partner with our families to promote comprehensive pediatric care.  Based on the current scientific research and data, we believe that vaccines are very safe and effective in preventing life threatening illnesses.  Vaccine preventable illnesses such as whooping cough, chicken pox and now measles have returned with increasing prevalence and the day to day risk of exposure is quite real.  These illnesses carry a substantial risk, especially to the very young and those who cannot be vaccinated. Over the last decade the science regarding the vaccines has come a long way.  There is compelling evidence dispelling the association between vaccinations and autism, and reinforcing the safety of vaccinations overall.

Given these indisputable facts, we can no longer passively accept the decision not to vaccinate.  We believe that opting out of vaccination is not in your child's best interest nor is it in the best interest of the community at large.

Thus, we can no longer accept families into Caring Pediatric Partners who are not vaccinated. We also cannot offer an alternative vaccination schedule.

For our existing patients, we will work together to provide a catch-up immunization schedule.  Please contact us so that we can have your child receive the appropriate vaccinations.  We will be happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Our practice follows the immunization guidelines recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
